Ebano 6 Roble is a red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas, a winery located in Gumiel de Mercado y Quintana del Pidio.
This wine is a single variety Tempranillo from 43 hectares of vines with an average age of 14-25 years old; 22 hectares of which are in trellis and the remaining 21 are free-standing.
The harvest is done manually and the grapes are transported in 17kg crates in order to preserve maximum quality.
As for the production, the grapes, after being selected on a conveyor belt, are crushed and de-stemmed. The maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days at a controlled temperature (27-28ºC). Subsequently, a racking and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks takes place.
Finally, Ébano 6 Roble rests for six months in Bordeaux French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine rests in the bottle for at least two months prior to distribution.
